"RING THE BELL AND WISH THEM WELL"

By The Shop Sistas October 31, 2015

When all this began, back in July, my first several weeks were spent in browsing and brainstorming for ideas. Here I had this whole wedding I could plan! There are so many good ideas out there. Others' weddings, Pinterest, blogs, bridal shows, magazines are just bursting with them. Yeah, it got overwhelming for a while. Let's just say I didn't sleep very well because my mind was running-until after a few weeks when I pin-pointed exactly what I wanted to do. As could be predicted, I also had some ideas of my own-usually combinations of things I'd seen and what would work best and meet the needs of my situation. One of which was the project I will share today-Wedding Bells. I couldn't think of what else to call them!

So we are having a large family/friend dinner at the church before the reception. I like how at weddings people stand up and offer toasts to the bride and groom and say a few words.

I have also seen at weddings where they have little wedding bells on the tables that say "ring for a kiss" and then the bride and groom kiss whenever someone rings the bell-super cute right? So I kind of combined the two ideas: we would have bells on each table that would be tagged telling people to ring the bell and then they could stand and say something to or about the newlyweds.

I found the perfect little wedding bells (as seen above) at Wedding Rustic Favors on Etsy. They came in a set of 12 for around $38. The best part-they already had the burlap bows and the little engraved "love" charm on them. All I would need to do is add tags. I came up with the phrase "Ring This Bell and Wish Them Well" to put on the tags. Once I designed it, our shop on Etsy.com, The Print Mint made me a stamp of the saying. Then I cut out lots of little blue tags and embossed the stamped image on them in gold. If you want us to make you a stamp like this you can message us at our Etsy shop.

So we are hoping that this activity works well and that people figure out what is going on. We plan to start it out with my immediate family members and then see what happens. I'll have to follow up with you on how this works out.

I wanted to show how cool it looks when the embossing powder changes from this dull grey color to a vibrant gold once you expose it to the heat. (see in the photo above as well)

AnneMarie Wedding Favors would like to say thank you to The Shop Sistas and their Etsy store The Print Mint for featuring bells from our Etsy store Wedding Rustic Favors in their featured project and blog.
